Mike Bickle of IHOP says he does not allow fake manifestations of the Holy Spirit up on the platform, but “I will allow the fake in the room because I so believe in the genuine.”
Bickle states, “Most places that I’ve been the majority of the manifestations are not caused by the Holy Spirit”…. “but the problem is, it’s not all fake and the genuine is in our midst, and I will allow a whole lot of hamburger helper to allow the genuine to take place. I will not promote it but I will allow it.”
Bickle cautions his young listeners against the fake stuff–but then again, he allows a lot of this. And of course, what is fake, meaning made up or imagined by man, and what is demonic?

Sad that you will allow hamburger helper fakeness! I can’t even finish listening to this video.
So many people I know are caught up in this😦 IHOP is full of heretical teachings.

A piercing analysis. Not a wasted word.
Apparently Bickle’s discernment formula is founded on years of observing highly emotional and exotic experiences of himself and other young Christians in a variety of meetings OR watching newcomers to IHOP style meetings copying the experiences of others. After 40 years, he has achieved an elevated level of discernment. Applause anyone?
Evidently Bickle now gets his kicks from watching a panoply of emotional displays play out in his IHOP meetings on THREE screens (a suggested trinity?) – periodically swooping down to evaluate the performances. This is weirdly voyeuristic, but not biblical. Bickle doesn’t tie any of these manifestations to scripture although he attributed some these hijinks to the work of the Holy Spirit.
This attempt to nail down big, writhing bags of intermittent strangeness and identify real experiences got far too strained and complicated. To make it simple, the Holy Spirit is a constant, indwelling person, not a grouping of intermittent emotional manifestations. But if you are simply seeking to sort out your buzzes, you’ve got 40 years to perfect your technique.
It would be nice if their mtgs produced tears of repentance from the Holy Spirit’s conviction rather than these manifestations of the kundalini demon (as you so rightly point out). Mike Bickle is deeply into contemplative prayer, which is really just the same as New Age/Eastern meditation, only with “Christianese” terminology and packaging.
All “visions” and “visitations” he receives are therefore suspect.
All leadership decisions, based on his contemplative experiences, are equally suspect.

Mike Bickle is the heretical leader of the apostate IHOP. What they manifest is the kundalini demon and not the Holy Spirit. Of course they say they allow the “fake” — to contrast with what they manifest so their deceived followers would believe what they “manifest” is the Holy Spirit – a demonic trick is to divide two false to try and make one of the false look like the real.
