Pat Robertson believes that “after the asteroid hit and wiped out the dinosaurs” … “there was a particular human being that God touched and that was the human that started the race that we are now part of…”
Here is the full quote:
“…there was a point of time after the earth was created after these things were done, after the universe was formed, after the asteroid hit the earth and wiped out the dinosaurs, after all that, there was a point in time where there was a particular human being that God touched and that was the human that started the race that we are now part of and I think prior to that who knows what was here.”
(start at 2:12 in video)
“You’d have to be deaf, dumb, and blind to think that this earth that we live in only has 6000 years of existence. It just doesn’t.” (at 41 second mark in video)

If you are wondering why any of this matters, check out Ken Ham’s comments.
(Thank you Tim for pointing out Robertson’s words beginning at 2:12 in video)

This is so sad, when the Word of God is so clear! All of Creation was completed in SIX LITERAL DAYS where God said “it is good” No asteroids allowed! Then He “rested” setting up the Sabbath rest for His people as it says in Exodus 20:8-11 further confirmation of the SIX LTERAL DAYS and SEVENTH of rest! What is happening is that people are not accepting the Word of God as final authority as it is written. People who do not accept the true story of Adam falling into sin which brought about death are unwittingly destroying the message of the Gospel!
Anyone still listening to Pat Robertson? He has already proven himself a false prophet over and over with all his false predictions….it only take one false prophecy saying “the Lord told me” when He didnt to be proven false…but Pat has Repeatedly made false predictions….so why is anyone listening to this false “prophet”. It was the flood that wiped out the dinosaurs…Pat Robertson is so “intellectual” he is blind, deaf and dumb by his own wisdom instead of believing what God clearly said..
You’re welcome, I’m just hoping the diagramed examples makes it clearer, truth should be easy to understand.
I must tell you this is beyond my limited capacity of comprehension, but thank you.
Dear Readers,
I take joy and grieve at the same time, and yet, our Father in Heaven still speaks through His Word in times such as these. I joy in the fact that I can believe God at His Word and He is all knowing and all powerful and that I, saved by the blood of Jesus on that tree, am His child, walk by faith and not by sight. As one of His children, I can easily believe in a 24 hour, six day creation of this earth. As a farmer and help meet to my husband in the fields, to dig down into that dirt (of which our bodies are made of) and see, smell, and watch the miracle of a seed sprouting into a grown plant and producing fruit of which we have no control, is a work of God; no man can boast of this miracle.
I will gladly receive the names “dumb,” “blind,” “deaf,” “simple”, “stupid,” “ignorant”, “intolerant,” “foolish,” “silly”, or whatever adjective the world needs to justify their lies for the sake of the truth of our LORD Jesus Christ. Man, with his finite mind and his finite reasoning through any of the sciences, still has difficulty simply believing and trusting in the Sovereignty and Power of our God. So if I err according to man’s vain imaginations (yes, this includes Mr. Robertson), then I will choose this day and everyday, to err on the side of our LORD, rather than on the side of man………Psalm 150…..Praise God in His sanctuary, Praise God in His Mighty expanse……we have God’s written Word for the simple minded to understand, and yet, who can fully understand the Mightiness of our God?
If God can save a wretched, unworthy sinner like me from the damnation of the pit of hell, through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, how can I not believe in His Holy Word for me to read, study, and meditate upon? That in and of itself, is a miracle of which I will simply, freely receive with no doubt whatsoever.
Encouraging all of you brothers and sisters in your faith, hope, and trust in our LORD this day, in the precious Name of Jesus. Amen and amen.
I left a comment with an equation, which isn’t really helpful to the discussion as it stands. I searched around and found a very good explanation and breakdown of the equation which should add to a better understanding as follows:
Fc=Fo2/R , Where Fc=centripetal force, or (g)=m/s2 , Fo= orbital force=m/s1, and R= radius .
Example 1; mass 1. m=3.50x1040kg. Radius R=2.60x1013m. Fo=c/s1. and Fc=3,466m/s2 .
Example 2; mass 2. m=3.50x1043kg. Radius R=2.60x1016m. Fo=c/s1. and Fc=3.47m/s2.
Example 3; mass 3. m=3.50x1046kg. Radius R=2.60x1019m. Fo=c/s1. and Fc=3.47×10-3m/s2.
Notice how Fc (g) decreases as the mass and its radius keeps increasing. And remember that Fo cannot extend beyond the speed of light per second. Hence the Fo, Fc, and Radius are always proportional to one another, in the following manner;
Fo=RxFc (square rooted). Fc= Fo2/R , and R= Fo2/Fc .
This proves that the entire mass of the universe couldn’t ever existed as one single conglomerate, because the mass must ALWAYS comply to these three quantities.
Unbelievable. Every single evolutionist and old earth theory that has been presented has been refuted ad infinitum. So they change their positions slightly, and again, repeatedly they are refuted with actual empirical evidence, repeatable and observed. Ad infinitum. There are thousands of papers and studies that are available for anyone with half a brain to judge for themselves. There is no ‘strict creationist’ viewpoint, there is however a Biblical position. The evidence mounts and mounts and yet people continue to think they are wiser than God.
Gap theory -unworkable, the Hebrew language does not support it, so you cannoy use the scripture to advance ‘theistic’ evolution or long age.
Big bang – impossible simple answer Fc=Fo²/R, let’s not forget the 1st and 2nd law of thermodynamics, all 3 of these are physical laws. It cannot work.
As I said there are thousands of papers, there are thousands of rebuttals of every current incarnation and position shift of the evolutionists and long agers.
The idea behind this is to remove the Creator from the minds and memories of man. What is actually ‘insane’ is that people continue to support this evolutionary psuedoscience when it has been repeatedly and irrefutably been shown to be fraudulent. With many of it’s ‘evidences’ exposed as hoaxes or to have been pulled out of thin air.
That is the real insanity.
Ken Ham is a hack??
The Bible is pretty clear–and I thank God for Ken Ham. You are right about hurling insults at one another.
Not insane, my friend. This evolutionary theory is what is wacked.
I think all Christians need to use caution when hurling insults regarding positions on creation. Doing so opens us up to the charge of replacing our traditions with what the scripture actually says. Sadly, the issue of how old the Earth is was slaved more than a decade ago, but we continue to needlessly bump heads about it. Anyone who reads Gerald Schroeder’s work “Genesis and the Big Bang” on this subject would have one of the most monumental ‘A Ha!’ experiences of their lives. Yet, for some reason we continue to want to follow either an evolutionary position OR a strictly creationist position. It’s not a ‘slippery slope’ to acknowledge scientific discovery unless that slippery slope is that you fear your faith might be shaken. The Word of God is real or it isn’t. If it’s true, then the reasons for what we discover in science have answers. Schroeder’s work is a perfect case in point. But, if we, as Christians, continue to rely on the likes of Ken Ham for our provision of knowledge, we will not only look like fools, we will be. The Christian body could do with a lot more rigor. The fact that no one does serious scientific research on many of these issues speaks volumes about how weak most Christians’ faith is.
Anyone who reads Gerald Shroeder’s work “Genesis and the Big Bang” would find plenty of evidence to support most of what Robertson is saying here. How old is the Earth? 6000 years? 5.4 Billion years? It’s both. Anyone who understands relativity and time dilation (also covered in Schroeder’s work) would know this but we’d just assume one is right and the other wrong. People need to educate themselves and stop listening to hacks like Ken Ham!!
Pat Robertson is a shill for organized religion, without question. There is nothing in the Bible that indicates any other natural disaster other than the flood could be responsible for global destruction. However, what all of these “experts” fail to question regarding the age of the earth is how long Adam and Eve lived in the garden. We always assume they ate from the tree of knowledge the same day or week in which they were created because that’s what we see in the movies, but they could have walked and talked with God in the garden for eons or millennia before rebelling against God. We just aren’t given all of the details. God condescended to man and gave him more information than he deserves regarding creation. Our role is but to believe.
It seems as though every time Pat R. opens his mouth, he inserts his foot. Does anybody even take him serious in the first place?! My goodness, he needs to retire! :0)
“You’d have to be deaf, dumb, and blind to think that this earth that we live in only has 6000 years of existence. It just doesn’t.” THAT part makes sense. The REST of Pat’s verbage, must be Alzheimer’s. But to believe our planet is Only 6,000 years old is equally insane.
