According to the Bible:
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.

brothers, the verses he uses to prove him false, prove him true. Does God make people sick? no: For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment TO HIMSELF.
Jealous people with not near the personal nor ministry fruit are picking at things. I love 90% of what Bill says. Is he off in some places ABSOLUTELY, so are YOU and so am I. Nobody has perfect doctrine. Does he worship God, believe in Father, Son and Spirit, believe in the death and resurrection, believe in the mission Jesus gave us, in communion and baptism… So he misses a few things. He is a servant of God. Let’s co-labor together, there is enough darkness around we do not need to throw baskets over other lamps!
And we will warn wherever we can, amen?

My friend, I know that God heals, and heals in miraculous ways when He heals. I also know any healing we get from a doctor etc is the grace of God.
When Paul told Timothy to take wine to calm his stomach that was…as medicine.
You conveniently left out the most important part of the scripture.
“29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. 30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.”
Discernment between the body and the blood is the key here.
His blood was for remission of sins, His body was bruised for our healing. He took upon Himself our infirmities and our diseases. By His stripes we ARE healed. (we don’t need healing in the next life, by the way.) He calls Himself Jehovah Rophi, our Lord who Heals. King Asa didn’t seek after the Lord for Healing, but sought physicians, and the Lord let him die. In 2 Kings 1:16 another king sought physicians to find out if he would live and the Lord rebuked him and let him die. The woman with the blood flow problem spent her life savings on doctors and was only healed by Jesus. Nowhere in the scripture does the Lord condone medicine or physicians for healing. Actually, medicine was considered sorcery and God hated it, which is why he desired His people to look to Him for healing.
And please don’t bring up that Luke was a physician. First century physicians delivered babies and bound up cuts… they didn’t provide chemo and bypass surgery to prolong life. Jesus never said “Go see Luke. He’s your only hope for healing once I’m out of here.”
I’m not saying doctors don’t serve a purpose for some emergency situations and for the unredeemed, but to say that the Lord will use some Godless doctor wielding drugs and knives to perform a “healing” is blasphemous. So then atheists end up getting the same “healing” that a believer receives? That’s some God we worship. No, God never shares his glory with man when it comes to healing.
I don’t know a thing about Bill Johnson, by the way; never heard of him before and he could be a total heretic, but he’s right that God desires to heal and is the only one who does heal. Our every breath is provided by Him, and our days are ordained by Him.
Whether we wear glasses or have a toothache, or show signs of aging is irrelevant. We know we aren’t going to live forever (apart from the Lord’s return) without some discomforts in this life. However, it’s where we place our faith for our existence that matters. Running to a doctor for every ache and pain and then praying for a clean bill of health from a mere man hardly displays faith in God. See the Kings mentioned above. People have more faith in their insurance coverage and their doctors than they do in their God who claims he is their shield and buckler, and their Great Physician. Sad.
Sorry if this contradicts your man made traditions and dependence on modern science.

He wears glasses. His son wears a hearing aid, I believe. So, no healing in those two instances.
Wow, just wow! And people follow this gentleman? wow, wow, wow.
I came out of a charismatic/Pentecostal church system where many of the women are “into” these types of false convert preachers; from the Todd Bentleys to the Pat Robertsons….and all of the TBN and IHOP wolves.
I confessed to one woman, who believes we are to have “spiritual mothers and fathers” in the church system, that I had some major health issues which may require surgery and that I would appreciate prayer. She waved her arms in the air, shaking her head from side to side and said, “Oh no, no, no, no….we do not confess our sickness into the air here!”
I stood there, shocked and speechless. It wasn’t long after this incident, she was hospitalized for major back surgery.
I wonder if Bill Johnson has ever been sick…..or if he believes that he too, will one day pass from this earth. He IS showing signs and wonders of the aging process though.
In prayer that he will repent and turn to the Living Jesus of our Scriptures….and open the eyes of those who place their trust in this man’s teachings. Lord, have mercy on all of us.
