Assemblies of God District leader “does not endorse or recommend the ministry” of Bethel Church Redding or Bill Johnson

“I wish to communicate a very clear position on the Redding, California Bethel Church, Bill Johnson movement. I have had 3 calls this week, one from out of the country, on our position as a District on this matter. The Northern California Nevada Assemblies of God does not endorse or recommend the ministry of Bethel Church Redding or Rev. Bill Johnson. Hope this is clear. James R. Braddy”

  1. Many Assembly of God pastors attended the Toronto Blessing when those services were being held and traveled back to their own congregations to indoctrinate us with the false teachings they learned there. These pastors made the bold claim that god was doing a new thing and those of us who did not succumb to this heresy/mayhem were called out as jezebels by these pastors.

The District AoG may not have endorsed this heretical movement, however, they cannot control individual AoG pastors who do believe, follow, and teach by guilt methodologies, their congregations into apostasy. Been there, done all of that and will never sit under an AoG pastor again…….never been drunk in a demonic spirit since. Praise our LORD, His Word is true.

  2. Hi Ed,
I am very grateful this District leader took this stand. I have been very concerned how closely Bill Johnson has seemed to work with AG in terms of Empowered21.

  3. It’s good to see the district not endorsing or recommending Johnson or Bethel Church, but it would be better to see them also pointing out that the Redding church’s teaching is nothing more than the Latter Rain teaching condemned by the AOG in the late 1940s. Yes, it may have a few points of “distinction,” but the path trod remains the same and only takes them away from the path of God.

  4. I was sent the quote by a member. It is a closed group, one has to join, and to join one has to be AoG. The Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/groups/289722434377801/

  5. I would like to share this but would like to see a link to the original article please. I can’t find anything on Facebook about the group mentioned “Consertatively speaking…..in the Assemblies of God” Thanks
